As a strike is looming at NAS Airport Services, Kenya's leading aviation catering firm, several of their employees were produced in court and charged with intent to bring harm to airline passengers, after they were allegedly found to have put sharp objects into meal portions made ready for delivery to customer airlines.
At present though, a source close to NAS has played down suspicion that this was a concerted action with masterminds still at large, claiming the employees in question were acting alone in a small group of agitated but misguided workers.
